Store Opening
Store Opening (1998-2019)
Supreme began commemorating the opening of a new store with store exclusive t-shirts back in 1998. Following the opening of the first Japan store in the Daikanyama neighborhood of Shibuya, the debut store opening tee was the ‘Grid’ box logo: this featured a layout grid and cursor icon, as seen in the popular graphics application, Adobe Photoshop. Following this first release, there have been eight Store Opening tees to date, all in white with the exception of 2019's San Francisco orange on black edition. Generally, the Store Opening designs are only available in-store: an exception to this rule is 2017's Brooklyn Store Opening release. This tee was available online, with all of the proceeds being donated to the Puerto Rico Disaster and Recovery Program, following the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
