Semi-Tonal (1994-2006)
The brand's inception in 1994 saw an accompanying release of four t-shirts – one of which was the brand's now-iconic Box Logo tee. This initial application of the Barbara Kruger-inspired identity provided a first glimpse into what was to follow. To date, a total of 42 Semi-Tonal Box Logo t-shirts have been released, ranging from the debut unveiling in 1994 and up to the most recent outing in 2006. Alongside the more innocuous colors, there have been many eccentric variations, such as Blue on Lime, Yellow on Brown, and Purple on Red, just to name a few. The Semi-Tonal theme spans across other collections, such as the Quarter Inch collection from 1995.
